WHY GEMA INTERNATIONAL SPELL BEE

Imagine you are in a group, you are asked to spell a word. You spell it absolutely right, everything is normal. In other case, you find the word difficult and spelt the word wrong. Not only you spelt the word wrong, you attracted the entire group. You yourself put an image of you like an unprofessional in the society. HOW GEMA IS DIFFERENT

GEMA International Spell bee is far different from the other spell bee competitions

We prefer Online mode.
We provide flexibility to students in selecting the slot of the examination.
Entire focus is on Conceptual thinking. We already forgot the Routine learning and we encourage the people to do the same.
Allow the students to go individually or through the school preparation. Thus benefiting the students, whose studying school is not registered with us.
We provide complimentary practice exams, thus allowing the students to get used to the type of questions asked in the examination.

Students from Grade 1-8 studying in India and Residing outside India are eligible to take this exam

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Registrations for Individuals: Students can register individually through the link. Students are advised to go through all the rules and regulations once before Registering.

Registrations of Students through School: GEMA will send required registration forms to the registered schools. Schools after duly filling the application are requested to return them within the due date. If schools are not registered with us then Please send an email to ***

HOW TO PREPARE

‘Eat dictionaries rather than almonds every morning’. Preparation for the International Spell Bee competition should be Healthier and Smarter. Students should follow Reading Books, News Papers, Learning new Vocabulary, Studying the given words in the syllabus, Periodical Revisions, Practicing the previous year question papers.

Section 2 involves Rapid Fire. In this round mainly listening skills of the students will be tested. For this, students should improve the listening skills by practicing the Active listening methods. Also, students must attend the free practice tests available in the website so that they will be familiarized with the type of questions asked in this round.

SYLLABUS

The syllabus for International Spell Bee competition is uploaded in the website for Grades 1-8 separately. Students are advised to go through the list of Spell bee words given the syllabus page as 80% of the questions asked in the exam will be from them. Each section in the syllabus will have its own prominence as it is carefully designed by the English language experts. The detailed examination pattern is provided. Students are requested to go through that. There is no negative marking system in the exam.

AWARDS AND PRIZES

For Students who appeared through Online mode

For Grade 1: The exams for Grade 1 are parent/teacher assisted and hence no ranks would be allotted to students.

For Grade 2-8: Out of the total students who appeared for CSB Online Exam Level 1, top 30% students will be directly qualified into Level 2 exams.

Globally, top 3 students will be awarded with Achiever’s Trophy and Merit Certificate along with gift vouchers of INR 10,000 each.

Students registered through school (For every school with more than 25 students in each grade) top 3 will be awarded with Merit certificate and gift vouchers of INR 1250, 1000, 750 respectively. All students who attempted level 2 (except the bottom 15% in the level 2 section) will be awarded Merit certificate.

Medals will be awarded to top 10% students and awarded as follows

Gold medal who secures 96 percentile and above
Silver medal to those who secures in between 93 to 96 percentile
Bronze medal to those who secure in between 90-93 percentile

Every Participant can get Digital participant certificate and the same will be available in the Dashboard section in their account.

For Students who appeared through Offline mode.

Globally, top 3 students will be awarded with Achiever’s Trophy and Merit Certificate along with gift vouchers of INR 10,000 each.

Students registered through school (For every school with more than 25 students in each grade) top 3 will be awarded with Merit certificate and gift vouchers of INR 1250, 1000, 750 respectively.

Medals will be awarded to top 10% students and awarded as follows

Gold medal to those who secures 96 percentile and above
Silver medal to those who secures in between 93 to 96 percentile
Bronze medal to those who secure in between 90-93 percentile

Every Participant can get Digital participant certificate and the same will be available in the Dashboard section in their account.

For Special need Students

Students would not be given any ranking systems as same in the case of Grade 1 students. Students obtaining 70% will be awarded with a Merit certificate.

OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS

The points are worth applicable to both online and offline.
Students can only attempt through online or offline mode. Taking the both modes of examination will be allowing the organization to cancel the registration without any notice.
If the student is eligible for 2 or more award criteria, higher award will be given.
Awards of the students will be sent to the School address or Residential address whatever is given by the students during the registration. However GEMA will not bear any responsibility for non-delivery if the address provided by the students is inappropriate or incomplete.
